While the Arab world is reaping rewards from the recent Oil Boom, similar to that positive wealth influx of the 1980s, from the perspective of a Proud Black Arab there exists some major flaws in our current "age of prosperity" as compared to our most proud 1980's. I have put together the graph below in order to give some historical pointers to what exactly these flaws are.
Notice the power shift deviations. In the age of oil discovery and through the World Wars it was the white man exploiting the nice oil inflationary returns. But in the 1980's there is a postive shift as we re-affirmed, re-positioned, and positively re-declarated the power over oil inflationary rise. But today that bull is being ridden once more by the white man. We must Stand up, re-posess, and thereby re-constitute ourselves atop that very black bull.
